Dr. Segal completed his medical school education at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine, in Tucson, Arizona. He continued training in a general psychiatry residency at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Then Dr. Segal completed a forensic psychiatry fellowship at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, in Los Angeles. Dr. Segal is double board certified in General and Forensic Psychiatry. Dr. Segal is the Chief Medical Officer at the Valley Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Abdallah obtained his medical degree from Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt. He completed his residency training in psychiatry at West Virginia University. Dr. Abdallah is a triple board-certified in General Psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison (Psychosomatic) Psychiatry, and Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Abdallah is experienced in treating psychiatric illness in people with complex medical/mental conditions and is an expert in addiction medicine. He is passionate about quality care.

Richard has an extensive background in Admissions, Facility Operations, and Clinical outreach. He has developed robust networks of relationship with therapists, hospitals, physicians, treatment centers, and other community resources to provide them with access to behavioral healthcare. Richard has also operated as the CEO of several different treatment facilities over the course of his career. Richard is passionate about ensuring the client finds the best fit for their treatment needs. His focus is on maintaining relationships with quality providers across the country, so that he can help whoever he comes across get the help they truly need. Equally, Richard focuses on ensuring the treatment provided at Legacy Recovery Center is of the highest quality, and that the team is doing all they can to serve those who come to Legacy Recovery Center for care. Richard finds his work extremely rewarding, but his biggest joy is his family and helping his wife raise their child.

Jimmy Liu is a highly experienced licensed acupuncturist and certified massage therapist with over 20 years of expertise in bodywork and holistic healing. His journey in Los Angeles began as a certified massage therapist, where he developed a deep understanding of the body’s structure and function. Building upon this foundation, he pursued further education and became a licensed acupuncturist, specializing in Trigger Point Acupuncture/Dry Needling and Traditional Acupuncture. Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Holistic Medicine and a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (2007). His integrative approach recognizes both the internal and external aspects of the human body, allowing him to provide personalized and effective treatments tailored to each patient’s needs. In addition to his expertise in acupuncture, Jimmy is an 8th Degree Black Belt, the highest rank in Jun Bao Wushu Kung Fu and James Wing Woo Tai Chi Chuan. His extensive martial arts training has deepened his knowledge of energy flow and body mechanics, enabling him to offer practical guidance on movement, breathwork, and self-healing techniques. By applying these principles, Jimmy empowers his clients to optimize their health, balance their energy, and enhance overall well-being.

Melanie is the Clinical Director at Legacy Recovery Center, bringing seven years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and clinical supervisor licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Having lived in the Valley for 19 years, Melanie is deeply invested in the community and dedicated to supporting meaningful, lasting change. Certified in EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Advanced student in Somatic Experiencing (SE), and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Melanie employs a compassionate, client-centered approach that honors each person’s unique pace in their recovery. With a deep commitment to fostering transformation and growth, Melanie empowers clients to explore their inner potential and develop self-awareness, resilience, and emotional freedom. Emphasizing relational connection, Melanie ensures that clients feel heard, supported, and safe, creating a therapeutic space that goes beyond symptom relief to nurture genuine self-discovery and long-term healing.

Nathan found his passion for helping others with addiction and mental health conditions in 2012. His passion led to a career specializing in program development in mental health and substance abuse Residential and outpatient clinics. Nate has developed four different treatment facilities from the ground up, and is well experienced in working with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the highest quality programs. Nathan takes great pride in creating a safe and healthy environment for patients. His focus is maintaining an environment that encourages clients’ success, as well as building a culture that is conducive to healing, comradery, and finding the joy of living again. He believes treatment should be enjoyable, and as comfortable as possible while clients undergo their healing journey.

Dave Seymour has been working in behavioral healthcare since 2012. Dave has developed a passion for working with adults who are struggling with Mental Health and substance abuse issues. Dave specializes in helping families understand their loved one’s challenges with underlining and co-occurring disorders. Drawing from his own experiences with addiction and having family who have struggled with mental health conditions, Dave can relate to the daily struggles that each patient encounters and works diligently with the team at Legacy Recovery Center to provide the best care possible for each of the clients and their families. Being a father, Dave understands the importance of bringing families together to overcome the imbalance that is created from mental health and substance abuse. With over 16 years of sobriety, Dave leads by example and is living proof that it is possible to live a life filled with hope, faith, and courage.

Aubrey is a dedicated clinician with a specialized focus on trauma and has served as an advocate for veterans’ mental health. With a comprehensive background in trauma-informed care and EMDR therapy, Aubrey offers an empathetic approach to healing. Aubrey has more than 5 years of social work experience in fields of child welfare, harm reduction and prevention efforts, hospice care, community mental health, and clinical work with the veteran population. In August 2024, Aubrey had the honor of leading a workshop at the National Sexual Assault Conference in Washington, D.C. The presentation, titled “An Allied Front: Strengthening Civilian Support for Military Sexual Trauma Survivors through Military-Informed Healing,” focused on equipping civilian clinicians with the specialized knowledge needed to effectively work with survivors. Aubrey looks forward to working with you and supporting your journey toward healing and recovery.

By emphasizing empowerment, self-awareness, and compassionate curiosity, she aims to support individuals in developing the tools and confidence they need to move toward meaningful growth and lasting change. Outside of her professional role, she finds balance and renewal through time outdoors, connecting with animals, and cooking. These personal passions help her stay grounded and remind her of the importance of presence, connection, and creativity—values she also brings into her clinical work.

Clay Williams serves as a Group Facilitator and Case Manager at Legacy Recovery Center, where he leads psychoeducational group therapy sessions and provides comprehensive case management support. His responsibilities include coordinating FMLA and short-term disability processes, as well as developing individualized aftercare plans to support clients in their recovery journeys. Clay holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona and brings a diverse background in behavioral health, having worked across various treatment settings. His experience has equipped him with a well-rounded understanding of client care and recovery support. Outside of work, Clay enjoys watching and playing sports, exploring video games and shows, and spending quality time with family and friends.

We are extremely excited to have Delaney providing services to our patients at Legacy Recovery Center! Delaney has an extensive background in physical fitness. She is a certified nutritionist, certified personal trainer, certified strength and conditioning specialist, and holds a degree in Exercise Science and Business. Over the years she’s worked with D1 football players preparing them for the NFL combine, she is also a professional athlete and a member of the International Federation of Bodybuilding. Delaney has her own journey of healing and recovery and intimately understands the link between physical and mental wellness. We are thrilled to have her on board working with our patients, adding another layer of wellness and recovery to our program!
